Introduction

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (“ZEEL”, "we", "us", “our” and "Company") is committed to protecting the privacy of personal data of the participants ("you", "your", "user", "subscriber", “customer”, “participant”) in our viewers engagement activities including contests, campaigns, auditions among others (“Activities”). The Company reserves the right to conduct these Activities through any medium of its choosing, including but not limited to on-air broadcasts, on-ground events, digital platforms/over-the-top, third-party websites etc. By participating, you acknowledge these various mediums as determined by the Company.

The Activities organized by ZEEL (unless otherwise stated) is applicable to Indian Citizen only aged 18 years and above.

This Privacy Notice ("Privacy Notice/Notice") governs the use of Personal Information/Data shared (as defined below) with or collected by Company from the participants of Activities in India as conducted by ZEEL and the channels owned and operating under ZEEL. The Company is the “Data Fiduciary” for the personal data discussed in this Privacy Notice. This Privacy Notice explains our practices, including your choices, regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of certain information, including your personal information in connection with the Activities.

For the purposes of this Privacy Notice references have been made to applicable laws governing data protection in India.

All capitalized terms that have not been specifically defined herein shall have the same meaning as provided under the Terms and Conditions and should be read in conjunction and together with the Terms and Conditions.

Objective & Scope

This Notice applies to Participants of the Activities.

• A “Participant” refers to an individual who is an interested viewer/person participating in the Activities and has willingly submitted their Personal Data to the Company.

This Notice applies to Personal Data/Information of the Participants that we collect to provide you with certain products and services, including the opportunity to participate in the Activities (collectively, “Services”). This Notice does not apply to anonymized, de-identified or aggregate information if it is not Personal Information.

• Personal Data (Personally Identifiable Information-PII): In line with applicable privacy regulations in India, the Company has classified all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person which by itself or when clubbed with other information available can be used to identify a natural person or is associated with a consumer/viewer/participant. You agree to provide complete and correct information with respect to the above and such other information as may be required by the Company. You further agree to provide only such information which belongs to you and that does not infringe any third part rights, including, without limitation any third-party privacy rights.

How We Utilize Information collected from You

• General: The Company may employ the information gathered to provide a Service, fulfil a requested service, or feature, and provide recommendations from your use of our Services in addition to contacting you for the purposes of the Activities, contingent upon your prior consent or permissive regulations.
• Activity Administration: Your information may be utilized by the Company to manage the Activity, record entries and verify eligibility.
• Safety & Fraud Prevention: Your data may be used for fraud prevention purposes, including but not limited to monitoring transactions, detecting suspicious activities, and ensuring services remain secure and protected.
• Legal Compliance: Data may be used to ensure compliance with legal requirements/ regulations (such as tax laws) in relation to Activities participation or other legal obligations.
• Promotional and Marketing Initiatives: Your data may be used for the purposes of, but not limited, to promotional or marketing initiatives by the Company and ZEEL family of companies as outlined in the Notice for any service/product offered operated/managed/licensed by ZEEL.

We retain your Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it is obtained, including to satisfy any legal, regulatory, contractual, or reporting requirements. Once the data is no longer required for these purposes, it will be securely deleted/ anonymized in accordance with our data retention and deletion policies.

Our services are intentionally not designed for or directed at persons less than 18 years of age. Company does not knowingly permit any person who is under 18 years of age to register with the services or to provide any other personally identifying information. If Company becomes aware that any PII of persons less than 18 years of age has been collected by the Company without verified parental consent, then Company will take the appropriate steps to delete any such information and notify the parent.
